The University of Delaware has the distinction of having the first doctoral and master's degrees in the combined fields of energy and environmental policy (ENEP) in the United States. Our ENEP program has earned international recognition as one of the three best graduate programs in the field. The interdisciplinary ENEP degrees are administered with the support of five colleges at the University: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Arts and Science, Business and Economics, Engineering , and Earth, Ocean and Environment. The degrees are intended for individuals who wish to focus their graduate programs on interdisciplinary study of the field of energy and environmental policy.
The Master of Energy and Environmental Policy (MEEP) equips students for careers in energy and environmental fields through courses focused on social science, science, engineering and research methods related to the key sustainability challenges of societies throughout the world. The MEEP degree combines rigorous academic studies, in-depth analysis of energy and environmental policies, praxis in the design of energy and environmental policies, and participation in public dialogues about the need for equitable futures.
