Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of New Orleans is committed to serving UNO students who are interested in developing a deep understanding of the Earth, and her processes, materials, landforms, history, and even inhabitants.
The Department offers programs leading to the MS and PhD degrees in Earth and Environmental Sciences. Specific graduate topics for research supported by the department are diverse and include Aquatic Ecology, Geomorphology, Coastal Oceanography, Coastal Processes, Coastal and Marine Geology, Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, and Paleontology.
