The Department of Earth and Biological Sciences in the School of Medicine offers students the opportunity to advance in their field of interest in an environment of supportive faculty and fellow students who are enthusiastic about science, research, publication, and learning how to make our world a better place through science and service.
The Department of Earth and Biological Sciences offers both MS and PhD degrees in the biological sciences. Our areas of emphasis are on wildlife biology, ecology and conservation biology, with research covering a wide range of topics, from ecological physiology, and venom expenditure, to marine invertebrates, ornithology, and sea turtle biology and conservation. Students and faculty of the program consistently publish their research findings in international, peer-review research journals, and present their research at scientific meetings around the world.
